My husband grew up in the area and went to high school down the street so this is an institution to him. I'll admit it - the first time he told me about this place and then took me there I was scared. When you walk through the doors of this little mom & pop shop you get the feeling you have been transported back to the early 80's. My hubbie will confirm that not alot has changed. This joint is CLEAN! The ladies working the counter are super friendly. So head to the counter and ask for the all you can eat menu. For $6.99 (I think) you can have 3 items at a time and a super large drink. Oh and to the poster above refills are free if you fork over an extra buck or two for the all you can eat. My husband gets 2 taco dogs (a hot dug in a fluffy bun topped with a handful of taco meat and a sprinkle of cheese) and a flat nacho (a 3-4 inch crispy corn tortilla covered in melted cheese, peppers and spicy red sauce). I get an indian taco (a puffy soft round of bread, beans, lettuce, tomatoes and taco meat) the aforementioned flat nacho and some chips with cheese to share with my toddler. Sharing is not allowed but they don't seem to mind if my 2-year old tucks into my chips :) The little one is served a "baby boat" - a little paper dish layered with refried beans, taco meat & cheese. The first time we got it I told my husband there was NO way our picky child would let it pass her lips. Well, I was wrong - she ate every bite. So, you've placed your order. Scope out a seat at one of the maybe 8 tables and enjoy listening to the local banter while you wait for one of the ladies to walk out of the kitchen with your tray. Make sure you've grabbed a bottle of the red sauce on your way to the table. The squeezy bottle of red sauce is what makes this place. We douse everything with it. It's a spicy mexican hot sauce that is unlike anything you will find in any other taco stand/mexican joint. It has just the right amount of kick and is simply delish. We love to come visit the family and visit this unpretencious little place. Hope they are around for another 30 years!!!

For one...it is not a Taqueira....it is a fast food tex mex place. I have eaten here since my childhood. It was named Del Taco then. Home made sauce is great, the meat is not greasy. Love the all you can eat. It is not gourmet mexican food so don't compare it to such. It is true, you pay for refills after your first one, but they only charge 1.25 for the large drink not 1.99 so it is still a bargain. For a cheap taco place it can't be beat.

If I'm in Dec City and I want tacos or burritos I'm not going anywhere else. The prices are fantastic for the food you get and the food taste incredible. Now, this isn't a fancy restaurant in the least. If it wasn't a building by itself it would be textbook 'hole in the wall' kind of place and it very much has that feel. If I were to choose between any fast food tex-mex and this it would easily be Mid Del taco. The food is greasy and you don't worry about it being squirted out from a meat gun. Service here is almost always amazing as well. The one time I had less than stellar service was when the place was packed with a kids sports team and the crew was slammed. I can forgive that. This place is definitely a recommend for some quick tacos or burritos.

Honestly, you'd be better off eating at Taco Bell, the food would be fresher, I'd bet. I ordered nearly the entire menu for under $20, so it's cheap. But to be THAT cheap I can't imagine the corners cut. Now, there is something nostalgic about walking into this place. Seriously, it feels like you're turning the clock back 30 years, from the layout, to the decor, even the food. So for the food. Imagine this with me. Head to Sams Club, pick up bulk taco shells, ground meatstuff, shredded cheese, tortillas, and lettuce. Now, just make plain tacos and burritos out of the various combo of the above listed items. They do have some kind of hotdog thing, but I wasn't interested in hotdog Mexican food. I'll be back, but it'll probably be a once every three year thing, just to see if they can hold on to their 80s vibe.

Probably the worst Taqueria in North America. Now, if you take "Taco" out of the name it would only be the worst fast food joint in North America Zero Stars is more like it.

I have always heard of Mid Del Taco, but had never tried it. I found it to be a quiet little eatery in Del City that had a seating capacity of 34 people. The food was priced very well, being one of the few restaurants that you could actually eat at for under $5. The food is not bad and very filling. One thing that bothers me is when restaurants charge for refills on drinks. Del Taco allows you to have one free refill and then you have to pay. I will definetely return for a cheap meal!
